Holiday Day Three

Charmouth

On Monday we had a trip out to Charmouth, we were going to Seatown but the £4 parking charge put us off,  although it wasn't much cheaper at Charmouth, the parking charges must increase at summer holidays!
Still it's a good family beach, the kids keep busy in the sea, there's fossils to look for, a lovely vintage clothes shop, fossil shop & museum and a nice cafe for a cuppa and a fried egg sandwich!

The weather was fantastic, we stayed nearly all day enjoying it, even if my legs did get a bit crispy!

Our tatty looking parasol, which was a freebie from work, proved it's weight in gold, providing much needed shade for the littlest. Last year she didn't want to nap when we were out, but this year, she was quite happy to snuggle down on the picnic rugs, usually after a swim in the sea!
It would have been lovely to get my knitting out but what you can't see is me holding the umbrella up at this point as I couldn't get it wedged into the sand! Still she was happy!
